VIN location...

... on a 1963/1964 Galaxie's frame. Where are they? Can anyone help out? I'm trying to authenticate a purported 1963 Holman Moody Galaxie. I've got a list of original H&M VIN #s, but I can't see to find any discrete VIN stampings on the alleged car's frame. Thanks JAC

i belive mine on my 64 was near the steering box, i am not forsure, but one day i did look at it to make sure the frame was the orginal. i cant verify the info, because my car is hour away, but i know its somewhere near the steering box.

I'll go check my 63 convert tomorrow if it's not too wet out back. damn storms here have my pasture and back yard looking like a lake.

I do not believe the '63 and '64 Galaxie had the VIN on the frame. '62 was the last year before they moved the VIN to the firewall. On the '62 frame the VIN is on the passenger side directly below the hood hinge.
