Getting this message bored thing figured out Pics of my 1967 Galaxie

Hello,

I have been using/enjoying this message board and site for a year or so now. Tonight I have been playing to figure out how to post pictures in a forum.

These pictures are from when I first purchased my Galaxie so a few things have changed but you can get the general idea. Seems I take pictures of everyone else's car and not mine.

Try this again - the sony site would not let me link to the pictures.

I will post some more recent photos soon.

John

Sweet looking ride man. '67 Galaxies have always been my favorite car. I was fortunate enough to have one as my first car, but sadly two years later the frame was giving in to the rott. When I could feel it flexing badly and the rear axle wandering through turns I decided she had to go. Anyway, your Gal is lookin' good, take good care of her.

Thanks for all of the responses. I will take some new pictures of it the next week or so. I have enjoyed the car a lot. I purchased it as something that both my father-in-law and I could enjoy. His health was poor and he needed a hobby to keep himself active. So my wife and I purchased this car since it was already nice enough to take to shows. Not a trophy winner or anything but a good start at least. He had a lot of fun with it and greatly enjoyed all of the car shows. He passed away back in October so far we have decided to hang onto the car.

Since those pictures I have done a few things to improve the car. The interior was redone with white and red tuck and roll prior to my purchase. However, the last owner had spray painted the door panels with red vinyl paint because he thought the stripes were to much. So out came the thinner and all of the paint was carefully wiped way. Now the entire interior is red and white again. It is not exactly something I would do to a car if it was mine from scratch but it does draw a lot of attention. People seem to either love it or hate it.

Engine wise it has a 289. It was re-built just prior to my purchase. I have since pulled the heads and done some port work to them and changed out the intake to better match the cam that was put in it during the rebuild. Additional engine modifications include MSD ignition, and shorty headers. Next I need to change out the torque converter as the one currently installed is way to tight.

Future upgrades include, power brakes, drum to disk swap in front, rear-end swap for a 9inch and maybe a little tweaking on the transmission. Later hopefully a 460 to wake things up.

I like what they did with the seats. It's different that what I have usually seen with dual colors and can see why it would draw attention.

You have the best year (67=1, 65=2, 66=3) galaxie. Enjoy the ride, and welcome to the board!
