How to remove dash pad on 62 Galaxie?

I need to remove my dash pad out of my 62 Galaxie 500 XL. Can someone tell me how it comes out. I haven't looked under the dash yet to check it out, just wanted to see if some had tips or suggestions on doing this.

Thanks,
Bob

The dash pad is glued onto the dash, it will be very difficult to remove it without damaging it... I tried and found out the hard way...

You wanta take it out or try to do it in the car? A heat gun, putty knife and lots of time will help. Depending upon weather you want to replace it or go padless, it's probably better to take out the dash and do it right. Keeps from ruining the good parts around or in it too.

Phatfalcon,

What size rims do you have on your 62? I still have the 14's on and would be going to 15's when I get a little more of the interior done. If your's are 15's how wide are your rims?

I'm running 16x7 front and 16x8 out back with standard backspace of 4". American Racing Torquethrust II's

Firmed up the ride a little, but not sacrificial with 60 profile tires. 215's front and 235's back.

When Greg Cook had this car he had 15's and T/A radials on it and it still looked good. See his 60 Edsel for what they look like.
