I got my sway bar from Quickor Suspensions. They make them for front and rear. http://www.quickor.com/
It is not a simple job installing. On my 1964 I had to remove the lower A arms to get the old one out and the new one installed. Good luck.

polyurethan bushings and sway bar

I got the pulyurethane sway bar bushings for my '68 at Pep Boys. They were like $6 per side for the kit. Included the puly bushings and all hardware. Good deal I think, it was a night and day difference between the poly bushings and the old virtually nonexistant bushings. Going through tight high speed turns the front stays nearly level and very tight, and coming out of those turns it doesn't rock at all, just levels right out.

I replaced them because I had to remove the say bar to drop the oil pan to retrieve my oil pump driveshaft. Now my motor leaks so I'm gonna pull it anyway, but at least I got kick-ass handling now. Now the problem is the ass-end is loose compared to the front. I'm gonna try new panhard bar bushings one of these days. Anyhow, polyurethane bushings rock. Just waht the doctor ordered for a two-ton car, it needs all the help it can get as far as corner carving. heh heh

what was different about the new lower A-arms? coldnīt you just drill a hole in the old one and fasten the sway bar?

maybe this sounds a bit naive, but what was the prob?

My car had the original front sway bar which I replaced with the Quickor sway bar. The lower control arms had to be removed in order to remove the original sway bar and install the new sway bar. There is not enough clearance between the frame and the lower control arms to do the job without removing the lower control arms. You may be able to do it by removing one of the lower control arms and sliding the sway bar out/in the side but I removed both since I replaced the lower control arms shafts at the same time.
