Do I need a new driveshaft anyway?

Finally got to installing the new detroit locker diff head.Went to connect the driveshaft and find the universal is about 1/2" narrower than the new yoke.
Will I need to have a new driveshaft made or can I use one off another year or make of galaxie?
This is for your crites/460/C6 into 64.
Any idea,s ,recommendations.
Don,t want to use the old yoke.

Check with a decent parts store like NAPA, not Autozone or the like because the counter kids likely won't understand what you need. They make combination U-joints where one side of the cross is longer than the other. Take in both measurments and they should be able to find one that fits your yoke and driveshaft.

tbirdchick is correct - my 1330's have different size cups which I had the drivetrain shop install when they built my driveshaft.
