what look to go for

i have a 64 galaxie fastback with powerful 390, and it has bucket seats out of a mazda car, i was wonder to go with the "custom" look or the muscle car look or the sleeper, but it sits kinda high in the back becuse of the tires i have on now. so if i do lower it, would blocks be good or do i have to dish out 800 bucks for a bag sus.????

Is that a current pic of the car?....if so, then that thing is sporting the look of terror!
J/K ya, man!
My opinion (which I know is worthless), is the simple street machine/cruiser look. In other words, a metalic color (prefferably a dark blue metalic), with all the chrome trim re-chromed and all the stainless/aluminum trim polished. A fiberglass "teardrop" hood and either polished "TorqueThrust" wheels or polished "DragStars"....bigger in the rear, smaller in front. Give the car a slight rake with the front down a little bit. You would have the makings of a "Darth Vader" starship

None of us can decide which 'look' you should shoot for. That's strictly a matter of personal taste. Myself, I generally don't care for customized '64s, but then again I like sleepysal's Tudor, skirts and all.

Why not dream up your own 'look' that reflects YOU? I made up my own plan for my '64 Tudor that when finished won't like anyone else's, reflects me and is something that I can reasonably accomplish. You can do the same thing. Just use your imagination....

Kind of like do yo want strawberry, vanilla, or chocolate?
There are so many ways do it. You can ask 10 different people and get 11 answers.
One thing to remeber it is YOUR car and YOUR choice.
My oppinion (like Torino's) is worthless but here it is
we live in an exciting time for cars ,becuse we have so many choices: A retro look , rat rod, mucscle car, sleeper, drag/pro street, stock car clones, low rider, buget beater or high tech billet blaster.A new trend around here is the low rodder, ( low rider look with hot rod performance)
Adding to you confusion? Sorry. No realy pick up an issuse of custom rodder, they are leaning more to the cars of the 60's. and you can get some ideas.
My 64 has shaved emblems a tuck and roll interior ,skirts and a few other 60's cruiser accesories, as well as an eddelbrock 4bbl carb manifold and dual exaust.
One word of addvice pick a style and make a plan. stick to it and I am sure you will be happy with the out come. you have a great base to star with keep us posted.
and thank you. Jan.

"Osama Bomba"? Well that definitely fits the mood of the era. A time in history or whatever.
