In regards to our rack and pinion conversion for the galaxies.
One of our customers has installed the first set of headers in his 60 Starliner ( a different Starliner than the one mentioned earlier) and the fit was somewhat tight on the passenger side although the header had ample clearnace. The drivers side went in WITHOUT having to jack up the engine to get the header installed. The collector now clears the rack boot with about three inches of clearance. Our cuustomer said he had to do some minor mods on the Z-BAR which was no big deal according to him. If the headers are installed in a Ford with an automatic trans you will not have to modify anything! Stan at FPA is now working on the final product and we will make it available as soon as we feel you the customer, will be satisfied with finished product. I personally want to eliminate all the hassles I can for our customers. I've heard to many stories from our customers about other products they have purchased and how badly they were treated when they tried to rectify the situation with the company they bought their parts from. I don't need these problems, so I'd rather take the time and do it right! We have quite a few racks installed out there and we are getting lots of positive feedback. Andre's Rods and Customs ( They istalled the rack on the custom Starliner pictured in these forums ) is now installing our rack in a full blown custom built 64 Galaxie with a tricked out 427 FE backed by a T56 six speed trans, This car will be feature in Custom Rodder next year. Another install will be going into Chester Towles 64 Galaxie, he heads up the Motor City Chapter of the Galaxie Club. Thanks, for taking the time to read this!
