Depends upon how often you're gonna be replacing it. With stainless, it's pretty much one shot and your're done. Cars like ours that don't see a lot of bad weather I don't see it making much difference.

Scott, I think stainless is well worth the extra $$$ for a car like your '67 that you're not planning on selling. If you shop around, you might even find that the price difference between stainless and aluminized isn't that great. I have a stainless exhaust joint just over the PA border from me that even builds their own mufflers and mandrel bends their pipes. They did a header back system on an '84 Suburban for me in 1995 and the pipes/mufflers are still like new. The rest of the truck is junk, but the pipes still shine....[img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]

Thanks for the input, I might have to shop around a bit and see if I can find someone to do in stainless for reasonable cost. I am chomping at the bit to get this done, can't wait to hear what she sounds like!!

I have a set of stainess steel headers on my race car. i will never buy a mild steel header again
