Blinker and head light problems.

Maybe someone can help the blinkers on my '68 Galaxie work fine until the parking lights or head lights are turned on then the passanger side blinker stays on but won't flash no matter were the blinker switch is put. I have check what I can of the wiring but it looks ok. And then my hide away head lights won't flip up I don't know if it is a vacum leak or what.

Have you checked to be sure all the bulbs are good? Sometimes one being burned out messes them all up. The headlight doors probably is a vacuum leak.

I should have added: Not at the lights, but at the jumper wires from one light to the other, the connection is on the drivers side on my 1964.. Also check these wires for a short between the two wires. I have seen this happen when someone tried to hook up a trailer connection..

Ok it's only the front passanger side blinker that is on. Do you think that the short somewere from the bundle of wires in the front driver side corn of the engine compartment to the passanger side blinker? I think I might cut all the tape off around this and see what I find then move from there.

Could be: but I feel like it will be in the trunk.. At the left tail light the wires pass over to the right side. Someone may have crossed the taillight wire with the stop/turn signal lamp wire. Also inspect the crossover wire to see if there are any frayed wires ( Particular at the retaining clips)

Have you been under the dash? Could have a right turn indicator light crossed with a dash light bulb...

I have looked under the dash and the tail lights were they conect I might just have to look a little closer tomarrow and see what happens when I switch some conection around. I don't think it will be back there though because it's only one light that stays on I haven't taken the dash apart ever is it very hard to do yourself? Cause you realy can't see ahole lot just underneith it.
