Some of the 64s did come with the Tbird engines.
To remove the front hub/drum you need to remove that metal grease cap in the center of the hub. Then there will be a cotter key that goes through the slots on the nut and out the other side, straighten it and pull that out. Then just take the nut off and also the front wheel bearing wheel fall so take it off when it comes out enough to get hold of it. You might need to adjust the brake shoes down some but usually the front ones are easier than the rear. The spindle and drum will come off as one.
