It will take a bit of time for your new front coils to settle and it will drop some, maybe 500-1000 miles. I recently put new stock coils on the front of my 68 Galaxie XL. I cut 1/2 coil off each spring before installation. The front end sits a little lower than the back and it looks real good. So since you already have them installed, let them settle. Then if you want it lower, you can consider cutting them.

You can always go with lower rate springs too, but you already invested in new coils. Cutting springs will work if done with a cutting wheel.
It's been said many times before here to never torch a spring. It can cause cracking and a failure of the spring. Also cutting a half coil won't have much affect on the ride, but it will stiffen a little.
I agree to drive it for a while and let the new springs flex and settle a bit with all the new suspension components then decide. If the front is sitting where you like it you can always throw an extra leaf onto the rear.

My front sits slightly higher than the rear. Can hardly tell unless I ahve stuff in the trunk. Rear springs are new stock replacements, fronts are original. New shocks all around. I plan on lowering the front to fix the stance by installing my 460.

New BB springs on mine and it went from nice and low to looking stupid high.It took a good year before it was *almost level*I would have cut a 1/2 coil had I known it would go up as much as it did.I should have just gotten new small block springs now that I think about it.Taller rear tires and that stance is ok now.
