1964 galaxie in oct hot rod 2005 power tour

check out the orange and cream 64 custom in the october issue of hot rod mag. it was in the hot rod power tour. i did alot of work on the 53 stude in the rusty rides section. he spelled my name wrong but i cant complain, not everyday a ride you worked on gets in hot rod. i did the front stubframe, motor and trans mounts, as well as the roll cage. we also welded up the intake from a rectangle port to a oval port. it isnt a ford but does have some parts from it as well as everthing else. anyway, back on track, the gal was cool and he said the owner was too. good to see more than just the regular 68 red camaro with 17 and 18s on it. hope to do the tour next year with my gal. lets all meet there. chad

The car is actually linked in some way, shape, or form to Painless. I have been emailing back and forth a little with them. Boesse Engineering builds the billet dash insert to replace the stock speedo and painless makes the wiring adapters in the kit. I haven't seen a finished product picture yet. Last one I saw was when it just came out of the paint booth. I know it's been in Rod & Custom quite a bit with the all the changes they made. I think they were classifed under "How To" or something like that.

It is pretty cool but still would have looked better as a hardtop.

Brian Montgomery from Painless emailed me about 8 new pics of Lance's 64 last week. The interior is done very nicely! Once again, I'd have picked different colors but the custom work done on it is beautiful.
