Motor mounts for 460 into a \'68... Will \'69 429 mounts work?

As the subject says, I'm wondering if motor mounts for a '69 Galaxie with a 429 will work in a '68 Galaxie (originally a 302 car) to install a 460 and C6. Anyone know? I think I may order the mounts and give thema try as I worry about the Crites mounts being too far forward and too tall and creating more trouble than they are worth.

Thanks Ray.

I went today to roder the mounts for the '69 429 and it was gonna be at least 3 days before they could get them in. Too long for me to be without a car considering I haven't had a car to drive since Sunday evening. So now I've got the 302 back in and running. It took about two hours to get the 302 out on Monday and about 2 hours to get it in today, then another hour to get the tranny cooler lines straightened out. Not too bad I think.

I need a new hood real bad though, as the hood is tearing away from the latch and it shakes at highway speeds. Unfortunately I've not found a decent hood yet. I've only found two '68 Gals in NJ. One is rusted pretty bad and both are bent, dinged and damaged.

I am going to wait to see if this '64 Falcon I want goes through and if I get that I'll go ahead and take my time with the Galaxie. If not, well at elast I have a better idea of waht I need to make it work and I can be better prepared for the next attempt. My stipulation is that the swap must not take longer than one week if the Galaxie is my only car, which it is at the moment. I want something more fuel efficient for every day anyhow, so that's where the Falcon comes in with its 144 cube 6-banger and 3 on the tree. The Galaxie will be a sunny-day cruiser with a little power under the hood.
