late model motor

will a late model 460 take a carb and intake from a older model
am sure this has been asked before

I think the heads are different on a EFI 460 then a carb version so a older carb intake wont fit on a EFI motor. Jeff

I agree, The EFI head runners are not round like the earlier heads...I think they changed in '87? or some where around that time.

You might want to see if you can find the manifold gasket set for the EFI heads to compare them against one another...for your own piece of mind.

looked at my head casting numbers they are dove-a sounded as good as any i could buy rebuilt the distributor tuned up the motor timed it in real good about 10 btc ran and started good should be ok after a good cleaning any info on the dove-a would be appreciated
