We might have a orange Galaxie painted by Halloween.
My car has shifted gears into O/D now fellas, she may be painted very soon. After a large slump, things are bieng accelerated. Alot of the inside is final painted, and it looks great. We will probably have the giant pumpkin home for Halloween, or even better my birthday, the 28th of October, happy birthday to me!!!!!!! A little update, how's everyone coming along yourselves?

Happy to hear things are progressing. Things are alright here. Just added some friction additive to my rearend but I'll be surprised if it helps. Supposedly rebuilt but once in the car it seems to be a positrac or something and it's not acting right, inside wheel trying to keep up with outside. Oh well, if it doesn't loosen up there's another one in the yard. The good news, the new leaf springs and air shocks are GREAT! What a smoother ride from old springs and flat air shocks. Don't remember the car ever riding so smooth!
Only real thing left before driving from here in so-cal to Seattle, WA area is that rearend. Think most everything else is a go now.

This is what ever Ford calls thier rear, tracloc, posi and what other names? I am clueless on those things totally!
I added some motorcraft (4 oz bottle) of friction modifier to it. Wonder how long it takes to work in if that is the fix for this one though? I'm wondering how long I need to fool with it before I decide they just stuck something in there so I can get out of their hair.

You're actually painting the car orange? What shade of orange? General Lee color, pumpkin, burnt, macaronie and cheese, chicken leg orange. That last one is my own for the color of the stripes on the road and a chicken's leg when I used to color in coloring books. hahaha

That's the goal, Halloween, or my b-day! It will be 96 Mustang Tangerine manderine orange, 1 year only, 96, remember? I love it, and since that idea don't ya know everyone is going orange!!! Sumbitches stole my idea around here. One day it'll be painted at least, but I try not to get my hopes up. Hope everything works out with you all too! Maybe I'll take up body work as a trade and specialize in this stuff, make a fortune. In Canada, the land of hot government members of parialment, Belinda Stronach, we also have Mike Holmes, from T.V's "Holmes on Homes". I wish there was a car guy like that, fixin others f ups and "making it right" as he says. He's on HGTV.

Guess you're the one that has to fill the "car guy" slot! I noticed orange around a lot. Like the dodge daytona chicken leg orange type color.
But don't feel bad, everywhere I look there's bright green engines here lately also and I had mine that color for almost 3 yrs.
Can't wait to see pics and hope it all turns out the way you want AND by Halloween!
You going to name it Pumpkin Seed or something?
When my sis and I were kids the Watkins man would come by the house just like the Avon lady I guess you would say and he always called my sis Pumpkin Seed which you talking about the pumpkin car, I thought it fit. Flash backs. Watkins products are still around I believe, they just don't go house to house anymore. Showing my age.

Orange could be very cool...very cool!
I always thought I would repaint my blue that burnt orange on the new vettes or dodge pickups if I had to repaint. 3 weeks ago Isay a comet done with my exaxt paint scheme except the the orange I have been dreaming about instead of medium wedgewood blue. You have to jump on good ideas otherwise someone else will have the same one.
Come to think of it. I actually sat and talked to the comet guy last summer and he loved my paint. I told him I kinda wished I had gone burnt orange and silver. That will teach me to keep my mouth shut.
