which pistons for a stroker??

i was looking at the scat rotating assembly kits on www.flatlanderracing.com and decided to go with a 545 (460 w/ .030 overbore and 4.5" stroke) with Trick flow heads, but i see that theres 3 pistons to go with, there are JE FLAT,JE DISH, and PROBE DISH. They All yield between 10.0 to 10.3 compression ratio with 74cc chambers. Any suggestions????THANKS!

I went with JE flat, but either sound fine. I haven't heard of many using Probe pistons, but whatever brand should work fine. Sounds like a sweet build you're up to!

thanks! Im just not too familiar with piston brands and obviously theyre all gonna advertise like theyre the best. As far as crankshafts go,scat is the company i trust the most, ive used them before and ive never heard anything bad about them.

I went with the JE flat tops on my 521.

What car is it going into? The 68?

I've heard some people have had problems with the Probe pistons. I'd pick the JE's since you have a choice. The probe problems could be nothing at all.. but, if you're going to build it you really don't wanna go back and tear into it to fix something like that.
