Where to get a firewall cover?

Has anyone seen any replacement firewall covers?
My '68 has a plastic or fiberglass firewall cover that holds the fan and the AC condenser. It it so crusted with stuff on it, that I was hoping that I can get a repro one. Almost looks like an oven that hadn't been cleaned in ages.

Mine looked like that too - after trying everything I ended up using easy off oven cleaner. It softens the crud up enough to scrap it off. You will have to repeat a few times. In some spots I used a hammer/chissel - with care.

Those aren't available aftermarket. I had a problem with mine being all cracked and broken where the fan mounts. I bought a used one in good shape from someone on one of the Galaxie lists for $25 plus shipping (ran about $50 total for all).

When you get the replacement, make sure it has all of the stuffing/gasket material. If not then you will have to try to preserve yours. AND they are a pain in the a$$ to remove!! - I removed mine with the motor out, I don't know how I could have done it with the motor in!!

Yep, mine is cracked and broken... not that bad that I couldn't try some epoxy. Just the areas around the screws and stuff have snapped. I'd have to get creative around there. Also where the drain is at the bottom is kinda rusted up and the whole plate is just really crusted with hard stuff like something baked on there pretty good or a fire was in engine bay and it cooked everything to this.

That's too bad they are not available aftermarket... I'll have to try fixing it up.
