My 64 galaxie trunk lock is missing whatever small part attaches the key cylinder to the "s" link that activates the release mechanism. Seems that something is broken off of the back of the cylinder. Having never seen one complete I'm not sure what is missing. Any help would be appreciated.
ill make a deal with ya -- you go into your profile and put where your from - [ the state you live ] and ill send you a trunk lock and the key-- - then send me your address- in a priv message --
cpike-- It sure beats other names and worse that's for sure!
Donco, I took a pic but not sure what you could tell from it. My spare trunk lock and such is in storage somewhere so can't get a pic of a lock out of the car right now. Possibly someone else here has a spare that's not installed they can get a pic of as it would show a lot more than what I can get installed.
Whew!! Didn't mean to set off such a storm between you guys. Ireally would appreciate any pics or diagrams of the lock system and would be interested in buying one if it's available. I understand 64's are hard to find. I live north of Birmingham,Al. and this 64 is my first project in many years. 460-.30 over,9.5 to 1 Keith Black pistons and a Comp. cam. Stock heads and rockers with a 650 performer and stock exhaust. Not a smoker but it does make plenty of torque and is an easy driver. All that sits in front of a c-6 with a shift kit and stock t-converter. A bit of a sleeper as the car was a 289 car.
