Factory Markings??

So, I'm guessing that the "OK" means everything checked out good but what do the others mean? The strange one to me is the upside down "8" . Its cool that the motor hasn't been messed with other then water pump and valve covers, the timing chain needed messed with tho, its shot!

not sure what that 78 for. Maybe the guy working that day in that dept. or something. I only usually see those on junkyard engines and parts and mean something different and hand written. The 8 is proably upside down because the numbers were done seperately and they didn't bother looking to see which way was up. Maybe anyway.
Only had one engine that clean that might of retained that type of stuff and it was non Ford. The others, clean them up and the paint went with the grease, dirt and oil. lol
