disc brakes

I did a search but could not find what i was looking for. I found a 1966 merc park lane w/front disc. the calipers have a cross over line (duel piston caliper) poss kelsey hayes. my question is anyone familer with these and will the spindles swap to a 1964 galaxie? I have not checked the bolt pattern yet to see if it's the same size as my 64. Thank's in advance for any help.

If you have access to the complete car, try and also get the MC, booster (if one) and the valving. There is no COMBINATION VALVE, the three valves (metering-pressure differential and proportioning) are separate. The metering valve should be at the front crossmember. Trace the brake lines to get everything if possible.

Re: disc brakes

Hi Kenny,
I'll bet that Merc is a nice car. The first vehicle I remember riding in was my folks' 1966 Park Lane. It was red, a four door, huuuuge car, you could fit Rhode Island in the trunk. Had a 410 motor--what's yours? Do you have any pictures? I recall that it had a fold down arm rest in the center of the rear seat, which we kids thought was so cool. I always wish I had rehabilitated it during high school. My father pulled it out of the driveway around 1976. The brake line snapped, he pulled it back in, and it never moved again until the wrecker hauled it off to the cemetery.
Cheers,
Jay

Re: disc brakes

It's a car a shop down the street bought for the front clip. It was a 390 car but the motor & trans were gone. Good body tho. 4 door clean inside almost to nice to cut up.

Thanks for the tip on the brake valves I'll get them also. I've looked at the power steering box and wonder if i could make it work in my 64.
The frame on this car looks to be in goodd shape also. I don't know what years it will fit but almost a shame to see it go.
