A day or two and you'll have new treasures to expose.

It'll be a little more than a day or two, but everything from Greg Donahue should be here by this time next week, or at least by the end of the week

Even when I know what's in the box I like getting them.

Me too!
Here's what SHOULD be in the box:

C1AE-9865A Choke Outlet Tube Insulation

C4AZ-16240 Inner A-Frame Splash Guards
Plus a NEW Greg Donahue Catalog!
I sent GD a couple of pictures of Ms.American 3.14159, and a couple of questions concerning his ever hearing of another 64 4-D, H-T, PI, and if he had any idea where information about such matters could be found, like maybe a 64 PI Registry.
So today, I have to do what I can on the Vusic Instrument that I'm restoring. The waiting is for epoxy and Gorilla Glue to cure. And in the mean time, I'm going to be out with M.A.3.14 working on spiffing up the engine compartment. I'll probably go sometime this week and get the materials to make the "bridge" over the engine compartment, and get THAT built as well.
And when I get all the stuff to put the H/D Unit back under the dash, then will come the entire logistical process of getting the Heads and Exhaust Manifolds planed. That will be such an improvement. I kind of like the volume of the exhaust note, BUT it's uneven because it's Cylinders 1, 4, 5, and 8 that are leaking and that makes a kind of a strange "lope" to the engine. Plus there is an amount of "hissing". The old Gal should be quiet as a purring kitten when all the work is done.
I'm going to be making a DETAILED itinerary of the Head/Exhaust work that needs to be done and the order in which it has to be done so that the whole thing can be "metaphysically" accomplished a number of time BEFORE it actually happens in the REAL world. I'll be going over it repeatedly to make sure that I know how everything is supposed to go and in what order everything needs to be done.
The FUN part of doing THAT is to see how well one "envisions" the process, because there is ALWAYS stuff that happens that has NOT been anticipated.
The descriptions of the efforts in the 1964 Ford and Mercury Shop Manual detail the actual doing of the deed, but the preparatory efforts BETWEEN the actual procedures are left up to the doer.
One's comprehension of the task is called into question. I mean, it's a matter of EACH and EVERY detail being "grokked" so that there's nothing that will stymie the actual doing of the work. And this is MOST important in the preparation, for EVERYTHING necessary to do the job has to be on hand, seeing as to how, there's no other transportation available once the 3.14 is incapacitated.
AND there's all kinds of stuff that has to be done BEFORE the work can proceed, like the original Water Pump has to be rebuilt.
The FE Specialist in Livingston said he's never done it before, but has all the equipment to do it, and the Shop Manual has the instructions on how to do it. He said he'd be willing to give it a shot. What I need to do is take him the Water Pump, the new parts, and the Shop Manual description. I have every confidence that he can handle the task.
Anyway, everything is FUN, and I'm under no deadline or time constraint, and I DO have some wiggle room, in that the guy at the auto parts store has told me that he would deliver parts if necessary.
BTW, I noticed that there is a switch that is activated by the reverse lever on the column shift, that turns on the Back Up Lights. but that it is completely broken. I've never seen a back-up light switch listed anywhere, but then again, I've never looked for one. That's something else to which I'll have to attend.
So hope you have a GREAT day.
