Re: Interior Work on Ms. American 3.14159
The FE forum mess was a Mexican joke that got political...
Then it got to the point of "the site owner can do as he wishes" and it got deleted...
Then a little more bitching about the deletion...
Then it all went bye bye I think... Well, something like that anyway....

Hey Gary,
Would it help to "entreat"?
"Implore"?
"Cajole"?
"Entice"?
Maybe "beg"?
How about I increase what I pay you 1000%?
What if I said: "Pretty please, with cream and sugar on it"?

Re: Interior Work on Ms. American 3.14159
Hey All,
At 5:01 p.m., there came a knock on the door. I got downstairs just in time to see the UPS Brown Van pulling away. I opened the door, and there was a box with the return address reading "Greg Donahue"!
It was full of wondrous stuff!
Especially interesting was a letter from Mr. Donahue (himself). In this letter is a REALLY interesting paragraph that I will here quote:
"In 1964 Ford built 49,242 Galaxie 500 4-Door Hardtops. They also built 32,050 390P Police Interceptor motors. Yours is not the only one that was built or even the only one built at whatever assembly plant yours was assembled in. I have sold parts for other 4-Door Hardtop 390s both Z Code and the P Code to approximately 10 or 12 different individuals. I even had a 64 4-Door Hardtop with a 427 Dual Quad and a 4-speed. Since I do not go on the internet, I don't know what is showing up there but those cars are out there." (boldface added)
So there you have it folks...
Now what I'd like to do is FIND those OTHER 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 4-Door Hardtop 390 P Code vehicles. Maybe we could start a "registry"!
Anyway, the weekend is going to be abuzz with the installation of H/D Unit now that I have the parts (Heater Core, Inlet Duct, and Heater Hose). Wooo Hoooo!
Hope you all are well.

Re: Interior Work on Ms. American 3.14159
I've only see ONE in my entire life and the 64 Galaxie of ANY door count has been my favorite car since birth...
There were 593,983 1964 Galaxie's built. That's a LOT, and the 49,242 4 door Hard Tops is a # I find a little Hard to capture....
You still have the only one I like

Hey Gary,
That means that 8.29% of the 64 Galaxies built were 4 Door Hardtops.

AND thanks to all the help from everyone, the old Gal is getting better by the day!
I did a Google Search just a while back, and was only able to find only ONE 1964 4 Door Hardtop PI, and Ms.American 3.14159 was THAT "one". Everyone keeps telling me that there are others out there, but no one has shown any of them... yet.
Anyway, the mornings here are the only time that one can work outside. It's too hot and humid by 10:30 a.m. So tomorrow begins an outside work day that starts at 7:30 a.m. and lasts till 10:30 a.m. then it's indoors work only. So now I start going to bed at 8:30 p.m., getting up at 4:30 a.m., feeding the felines at 6:30 a.m. and have all the chores done by 7:30 a.m.
Isn't this FUN you guys?

Aha! The TRVTH finally comes out!
When I first got here, I was told that the REAL reason that everyone "hated" the quote button usage was that EVERYONE was REALLY "sharp" and didn't NEED to have the quote button used because EVERYONE could remember EVERYTHING without it!
And NOW, Gary says that he can answer questions "individually", but not enmasse' and you now say that you "...get lost and create a mess".
Now, I'm not being at all critical here. I love all youse guys no matter how you prefer doing the "discussion" thing, and for whatever reason you prefer to do it that way. Heck, I still like Mr.DH. You all are ALL RIGHT with ME!

Hey mon Deb,
Well, here it is Sunday morning comin' down. Going to be painting the "Bridge Bases" today right after I spray the house for the yearly sand flea invasion. The thunderstorm at 3:00 a.m. awakened me, and I couldn't go back to sleep, so I got up, had coffee and meds, and then started preparing for the spraying job. While the house is airing out, I'll be outside working on the stuff I can do outdoors. The air got nice and fresh after the front came though, the wind out of the NorthWest blew all the clouds to the SouthEast. Temps are in the mid 70s, humidity is low, and the time is right. I'm on my second cup of coffee, and by the time I'm done here, I should be more powerful than an H-O scale locomotive, able to leap wrinkles in the rug, and be faster than a speeding... well, you get the picture.
Have a response to write to Gary, and then it's put all the cats in the Kitty Kastle, and get out the old spray rig.
Hope you are well

Re: Interior Work on Ms. American 3.14159
Well JC, hope you made it over those wrinkles in the rug!! I did some cleaning and the weather was so-so but at least it wasn't raining.
Only car stuff I'll be doing is tomorrow and that's fill up the power steering, add some air to the shocks then go fill the tank *gasp* so I'll be ready to go pick up my man at the airport. Don't trust that new fangled truck to make it there. The ol noisey beat up Shotrod will though. *knock on wood*
Not long down the road and the truck is going in the shop. Had two people suggesting maybe the rings but who knows. 80k miles and falling apart the poor thing. But got title in hand after 7 long years of payments. Woohooo!!!
Hope you had fun there frenchy!
Deb
