parting out 68 Galaxie 500 Convertible

I will be stripping my Galaxie down and getting rid of the frame and body shell for scrap as it is pretty rusted. CAr has good fenders, doors solid but some rust, convertible top motor works as do the lift cylinders. Grill, wiper motor, all electric works, good 351W engine(1971) does not burn oil, 2 bbl, 3 speed trans, all shift linkage and clutch linkage intact. Car is in upstate New York, will sell whole but will start taking it apart possibly tomorrow. Let me know what parts may be needed, I am sure we can work something out.

How badly rusted is it?

frame is soft in spots, floors are gone from behind the drivers seat to the top well, 1/4's need replacing, rear wheel wells and trunk is rotted at the seams, car could be repairable I guess with alot of welding and another part car, but it is too much for my no garage gravel driveway

If you are just going to part it out would you be interested in selling the whole car?, and if so what would you take for it?

The only problem with selling the whole car is that I need some items off it for my LTD. Plus I decided to keep the engine. Why, do you wish to come up here from Texas?

Just wondering what you would want for it. My 68 conv. needs some help, and it sounds like yours might be in better shape. I know the only issue is getting it, but thats why I was asking about the price.

Joe,when u get the body off,can u cut off the bracket for the upper 3dr link off the rear cross member? Let me know one way or the other. Thanks Jess

I wasnt planning on taking the body off the frame as the body has pretty much had it. I will take a look at the piece you need, but I have a feeling its probably pretty rough. As for selling the car whole, sure its an option but down south and in Texas, there are cars much closer and in better shape. Try CTC auto ranch's website. They are down near Texas somewhere (Or in that region)

Insane1 if you are really interested, let me have a good email and I will send you pics of the car, then you can decide what its worth to you, I do wish to keep the engine though, as I want it for a DIRT modified, plus the engine is not original to the car.

Joe,just thinking it would be easier.Hope you can cut it off for me.(Need it).Just make sure we are on the same page.It's the bracket on the cross member that the 3dr(upper link) attachés to.
