Speaking of torque converter stall.....
There's a 2400 stall converter for a Cruise-O-Matic on EvilPay. Would that be to much for my Gal? 352 mild cam, 4100, 3.00 rear.

Re: Speaking of torque converter stall.....
Make sure you know the input spline size before buying a converter. Two different converters for the C4's.
Evilpay?? Sounds like a risk all buy itself...
Get the tag number off of the tranni, and it will tell you what you need to know.
The tranni could have been swaped out at some point in it's life.
2400, is a good converter for a heavy car.

Re: Speaking of torque converter stall.....
I think Mikes66 didn't see that you have a Cruis-o and not a C4. 2400 would be a great stall. Give you a little better off the line performance. Mikes66 is right that there are two different convertors though. Early versus late.... I can't remember the whole thing. I ran about that in my car before I switched to the C6. If you run mostly in town I would do it....if it fits.

Re: Speaking of torque converter stall.....
I am pretty sure the only differance bewteen a C4 and a Cruise-o is the shifting pattern of the valve body, since I own both kinds, and have been inside of both of them.

Re: Speaking of torque converter stall.....
He said his transmission was an early one with no vacuum. Mines the original in my `65. How do I tell the difference and will this converter work in my tranny?

Re: Speaking of torque converter stall.....
That's my stall converter on ebay. I don't recall Broader Performance ever asking for spline size when I bought it. I don't have any technical knowledge about it other than stall speed.

Re: Speaking of torque converter stall.....
I believe pre 66 had a 24 spline with a slightly smaller shaft... 66 and later had the 26 spline imput shaft. I may be off on the dates.....
