Re: Unknown cylinder head

Thanks for the info guys. Looks like I have nothing more than a set of OLD,RUSTY heads and a dual quad intake. I will clean them up-they will make for a great conversation piece. I may use the intake and carbs on the 390 I have to put in the car.

I agree with the 361 or 352....

Never said they were "427" heads, OP said that they were ON a 427

Hey Mr.GJ,
Get them all cleaned up and you never know, there may be someone who is putting a car back into "original" condition and these heads may be exactly what is needed for his project.

They may be ugly NOW, but it's amazing what a little TLC, and some machining can do to those pieces.

Re: Unknown cylinder head

He did give me the car and all the stuff in the trunk, which included all the parts we have taked about. Also some bell housings, valve covers, 2 Autolite 4100s-1.12 venturi, and some other assorted parts. However, all this because I am getting married to his daughter.

Hey Mr GJ,
In times of yore, that was called a "dowry". The bride's father would give the future son-in-law an assortment of things to get him started in life with the daughter. It used to be a goat or two, a cow or three, and maybe a horse, or mule, complete with a plow. This was done in hopes that the new son-in-law would be able to provide for the daughter in a manner to which she had become accustomed. It also was kind of an indication of which direction the father wanted his daughter's husband to go in life. You might consider getting into Galaxie restoration, or maybe professional drag racing! BTW, whatever you do, don't SELL the "dowry". That would be a faux pas of the worst sort.

Re: Unknown cylinder head

Thanks for the offer, but I had to promise not to sell any thing until the car is done. Unfortunatly that may be a while.
