1964 Merc trim code

I've got a 1964 Merc Parklane with 46A trim code on the warranty plate. The mercurystuff.com site I visit to decode my warranty plates does not list this code. The bench seats in the car are unlike any other 1964 merc I have seen (I know, post a photo), and the door panels are missing from the car. Anyone have a clue? I will post a photo later this weekend. BTW this is not the car pictured in my sig line. It's a parts car.

Does the Car have BLACK interior?

Everything I see is that 46 is Vinyl OR Cloth upholstry, and A is black....

I'm going deeper though...

I don't find an A anywhere but a 46 black vinyl. But that is a '65 color.

Maybe the above statement is what you have, a deviation from the usual color/material available, like special order or something? Wonder what serviced or nonserviced mean. Is or is not covered in a warranty?

64 Comet is Black Vinyl in 46... No A though

It is white, or off white vinyl, but the pattern is vertical lines, not the biscuit type most Parklanes have. I have the car stored at a friends house. I'll post some pics next time I get up there.

That's cool. Maybe the pics will jar some memories as to the pattern/fabric name.
