I respectfully disagree!

Very slick lookin '65..........except for the wheels. Oh, and you can disagree all you want. Thats one of the cool things about living in a democracy, everyone doesnt have to sing to the same tune if they dont wanna.

Re: 1966 Galaxie Springs

I think it's more the wheel style/design and not the size that makes them look bad or good to people. Well unless you go with 40" or something crazy so it looks like a buckboard or something.

Some of the wheels out there are just uck no matter what size they are.

I actually don't think the red gal looks too bad with those wheels. The wheels i like the least are the ones with the least amount of substance to them. Toothpick spoke types etc.

I dunno, Never cared for those newer wheel designs that look like the tires are only like an 1/8 inch thick. When it comes to "where the rubber meets the road" I prefer a little more rubber between the wheel and the road. Besides, to me, on a Galaxie, those big spoke wheels makes the car look like some sort of chrome........wagon or something........in my own opinion. But......whatever turns you on, I guess.

Re: 1966 Galaxie Springs

You got that right, some don't have much rubber on them. I like running over curbs so guess I better stick to the stock wheel types. Meaning the ones with a full size tire on them.

OOOOOOOKKKKKKKKKK. If your really into running over curbs, Guess you can borrow my truck if you want, its got boo koo rubber on it, also has air shocks and overloaders on the back. If nothing else, It may save the suspension on your car. I run 15 x 10's on my galaxie, it has or had chrome "smoothies" with baby moon caps. looks very old school and very cool (if you ask me). Right now it doesnt have any wheels at all on it cuz the frame is currently on jackstands. I need some more parts before I lower the body onto the frame still yet.
