What year did 390 show up in the trucks?

I don't know diddly about trucks other than my dad's '72 has a 352 and the engine I have is out of a '74 and was the last year...i think..for a 390 in them.
Reason for asking is the autozone dude tried to tell me they didn't have no 390 in 64 and I said I didn't know about any trucks but the car did and regardless, just give me points for a 390, they're the same. He said no they aren't. I said yes they are but then ok, make it a tbird with a 390. LOL I finally got my points but I sure don't have much to say for the computer age of parts shopping at the parts stores.

They got 360's the same year as 390's. 1968. 67 were all 352's

my Very first F-250 was BORN on November 1966, SOLD on December 24th 1966, it wa a 1967 F-25 camper special, 390 CI 4V.

Engien code is on the truck rating plate, Code S was the first truck 390 and was issued for the 1967 model. In 1968 it changed to Engine ID code H for the 390 and ONLY came in 2V.

The 360 did not hit trucks until 1968.

That's what I know from personal experience.

Did you also know that they put a 390 horse 427 in the 1967-68 Trucks? Yeppers, them were the only years...

I don't know didley on the trucks and am shady on the cars even. But I do know that a 390 is a 390 (hp ratings aside)and 390 points are 390 points.
390s were when, 61 first year or did they have them in '60? I only know of the 61 that was bought new with one. Before that who knows. But 64 had them!! LOL

Ford points are ford points even a 289 uses the same points .
