Re: convertible top fit

I just was working on getting my top down and fund the allen/hex screw that I had mentioned. It's down inside the "well" where the bars go down in for the top on each side. Mine is a '64 but I bet most older fords and maybe other makes have the same adjustment. It is the secondary bar, not the main top frame that is adjusted.

I didn't think to mark it but it's that round cylinder with a hole in it that's sticking out the side of the "box" facing you on the right.

This is a pic of the weather stripping and the screw and nuts that hold them on. As you can see they probably take up that inch of space you have between your window and top frame.

Deb

Re: convertible top fit

Damn you guys! I got to looking at mine and see that they are just crap; crumbling and uglier that sin. Looks like the complete set are on my "Wish List".

Re: convertible top fit

Mine aren't perfect but they are intact and still somewhat pliable. It's the rubber parts like the door sweepy things outside that go against the window and the stuff on the wing windows that is falling apart. But most of the time my top was tucked under cover so maybe that's why they aren't so bad.

Still be good to have new though.
