Some years ago, Goodyear had (and possibly still has) a line of shock absorbers for even the 1964 Galaxie "P" Code (which shock is DIFFERENT from a Standard Galaxie) called Goodyear "Classics". You might see if they still make those items.
BTW, the difference in the "P" Code and the Standard Galaxie, is that the Standard has a pin on one end, and an eye on the other. The "P" Code shock is EXACTLY the opposite. have an eye on one end, and a pin on the other. And you can't just install a Standard shock "up-side-down" because water collects in it.
