Hey Gary,
Well, like I told Mr. DH, "Alright, but I use the quote button, and I got TWO accelerator pumps."

Do YOU have an air compressor? I'm thinking about getting one. I have a little compressor with which to air up a portable tank for airing up the lawnmower, and vehicle tires, but it won't run any kind of air nozzle for carburetor cleaning, or SPRAY PAINTING.

Glad you got the correct kit.

Oh, so am I!!!
Even with all the good luck sent my way by YOU and others, I still have trepidations occasionally that I'm going to run into something that is going to lead to a dead end.
Fortunately, the guys at the ONLY auto parts store in town are willing to really dig deep and they come up with most of what is needed.
AND if THEY can't get something, then I can always head for NAPA in Livingston, but the round trip to Livingston cost $10.00 with gas being $3.98.9 here now.

I believe that another version of the Mod. 1920 (auto/standard) had another diaphragm on the body that acted as a dashpot, and it used the same style diaphragm... Thus you have two just in case.
|
There is a functioning Dashpot on the carb, but it doesn't have a replaceable diaphragm. Also, the Intake/Exhaust Manifold is from a later model 225/6 and has an EGR valve that is opened by a Dashpot type diaphragm, but I don't know what to do with it, or where to hook it up. It's just there.
Anyway, the newly refurbed Valve Cover/Oil Filler Cap/PCV goes back on today, with new lock washers, and freshly painted bolt heads. It should look spiffy.
Then comes installation of new Fuel Pump, and reinstallation of Ignition Coil Bracket, and Ignition Coil, both of which have been cleaned, stripped, and repainted.
Then the reinstallation of the Alternator, which passed the AutoZone Test, and the
Adjustment Bracket.
And then comes all the stuff on the FRONT of the engine. Water Pump, Pulley, Spacer, Fan Belt, Fan, and finally the Radiator with all new Hoses. Also have to hook up the Automatic Transmission Cooler lines to the Radiator.
There is then some detail work to be done like I've already cleaned the Timing thingie, and found the marks on the Harmonic Balancer, and want to paint them both Gloss White with Red Marks to make it easy to see with the timing light.
Then all that will be needed to get the engine running is the Holley 1920 Carburetor, and a NEW Battery.
The Reawakening of Lorrie Van Haul is "...getting closer... Moving faster than a roller coaster!"
Anyway, LUCK LUCK LUCK on you!!! [USE THE QUOTE BUTTON]
