Question Where in the HELL to find 7.5A Fuses that FIT?!

I was all excited, got a new ignition lock cylinder installed, slapped a battery in to see what works, got the oil and gen lights to come on. Was giddy as I tried all the other gadgets, none of which worked. WTF? I thought, then I glanced at the fuse panel to find ONE sole fuse, in the instrument slot.

Great. Now, after trips to O'Reilly, Autozone, and Wal-Mart, I have managed to procure some 14A fuses that fit, but correct 7.5's apparently don't exist. They're all too long. I've still got NAPA and CarQuest in town, otherwise I guess I'm SOL on getting the old gal started.

So I ask, neigh, I plead....where the HELL do you find fuses to fit the $#@%ing fuse panel?!

the round glass tube style, not the blade type. Just found some through Fastenal online, which has a store in town.

As in up under the dash, not in the block on the firewall?

Now I'm confused...

Re: Where in the HELL to find 7.5A Fuses that FIT?!

Went to a local electronics swap meet, and a vendor there had a fivve gallon bucket of Buss fuses, all in the slide open containers. He wanted 25 cents per container. I got a couple dollars of varying sizes then.

But got mainly the SFE length and the AGC length which is shorter. They ahve them in sizes from one ampere to 20 usually. I needed a bunch of 5 to 10 amp ones to fit a fuse holder on an antique auto.

fuses are on the light switch -- there are 4 or 5 of them -up under the dash -- on the bottom of the light switch-- bastard to get at -easyest way is to pull the light switch --- remember those older cars didnt have many circuts--

The 64 and believe the '63 doesn't have them on the light switch but think the '62 does. Not positive on that though.

Thanks, couldn't remember if I'd heard where the '63 fuses were. Now if I can only remember that next time when it might be needed.
