Starliner info
Hey Guys
I'm new to the site. I was hoping to gather some info on '61 Starliners.
I have found a car (hopefully) and wish to research a little.
Q1. Of the (3) different HP ratings for Z code 61's;
What are the casting numbers I need to look for? Is there standard and/or hi performance heads / intakes I need to know about. If so what numbers do I need to look out for?
Q2. I asked the owner to send me VIN & Cowl tag details and I received the following .......(I have already deciphered the VIN#)
Body - 2DCLV1, Class - AB, YR Model - 1961 Ford.
What do these codes refer to?
He has indicated that the car was red with red / white interior however the above doesn't seem to fit into any dataplate format I have seen????
Q3. Is there specific starliner headlining for a '61?
Q4. Has anyone fitted a '63 500XL interior into a '61? Is it reasonably straight forward?
These maybe stupid questions but I hope you guys can help.
