1962 owners...rare options?

Hey 1962 owners, i was looking at the 62 Ford Registry, www.62ford.com and the list of options, and wondering what were the rarest options and who, if anyone has them here? Obviously, M,B, and G code motors are rare, but what about the Litter Disposal Vacuum, Rear Mount Antenna, Spotlights and Tissue Dispensers? The registry lists the center hood ornament as being rare (which i have) but i would love to see pics if anyone has any of these, or any other "rare" options.

When I get done with my 62 it will have electric windows, electric drivers seat and AC. All original 62 Galaxie equipment. I also have left and right spotlights like on the 62 registry that I plan to use on my 4 door when I make it into a Mayberry police car.

Awesome post Stickshift! Ive never seen that reference before. I love that pic of the windshield washer...looks like the guy is getting it in his face! I have many of those options on my car...would love an original tissue dispenser and some of the other cool goodies.

In my view there is a difference between options and accessories. Options were installed at the factory and accessories were purchased or installed at the dealer. The book posted here is an accessory catalog and shows some items that were only installed at dealers such as waste baskets and tissue dispensors. Obviously radios,clocks etc were available as both options and accessories.

Ok. It should be done in about 7 or 8 years.

seems seatbelts were a real accesorie, my 62 has rear seat belts but the front are not there and the holes are still sealed.. now i gotta get me some front ones with bolts...

Yeah its funny, my car came with stainless skirts, bumper guards front and back, remote trunk release, center hood ornament and selectaire A/C and NO seat belts either. I added some myself. Crazy...i guess seat belts just weren't that important in 62.

Belts were federally mandated at some point. Maybe some expert can chime in on what year that was.
