Re: How to remove instrumnt cluster.

well first you get a really big hammer and start wacking away--

ya know -it would help if we knew what year and model car you are working on --or just try the hammer thingie--

Re: How to remove instrumnt cluster.

am i missing something here --what ground contact points-- if i remember right it grounds thru the screws that hold it in---i might warn ya--theres a million wires back there and every one of them is hooked to that dash pod- plus the speedometor cable--its been a long time since iv been into a 62 so im speaking from a 66 and 67 galaxie perspective-- -- hey gary --does he need to drop the stearing colum on a 62??

And if you repaint it clean the paint off a couple of the screw holes, down inside so you aren't wondering why the dash lights don't work like I did! lol

Re: How to remove instrumnt cluster.

Good luck with the clock part. I have seen 3 of them from a 62 and they all are shot. The only way to make it work is to switch it to quartz.
