All I can say is..... U R DA MAN! After laying under the car looking at the
under bolt on cylinder 3 for a few minutes today, I decided to do it your
way. WALAH! I did have to disconnect the exhaust pipe from the header
but that was no big deal. All of the teeth we gone off of the starter. There
was even a chunk of 4 teeth sitting in the bell housing.

Thanks for every ones input!

Hey Mr. DT,
How come it is that when I told you to do that, you said the starter was one of the types with the LONG BENDIX. But when Mr. BO tells you to do it, then HE is DA MAN? Inquiring minds want to know.

Anyway, I'm GLAD you got the problem solved, and that your Gal is well on her way to be well again.

And that goes for YOU too.

I remembered your statement about removing the idler arm but in my
excitement and rush to post, I could not find it in the previous threads
for some reason. So I used Blueoval's. I do value everyones input and did
not mean to short kudos to any one that provided input. My bad.

Hey DT,
I was just ribbing you. Pay no attention to what I wrote. I'm just glad that you are getting your Gal up and going again.

Now about taking off that Shorty Header just for the fun of it... While you're at it, the experience wouldn't be complete without taking off the Driver's side one TOO!
