Hi Domino,
I will be painting the car in its current original color, Oxford Blue, which is a dark blue metallic. In some pics that I posted, the car looks like it was painted black.
Mrs WB has been getting very excited and wants to get stuck into refurbing the steering wheel, we have a few interior trim pieces and the dash that have to be rubbed back and primed. The interior paint color is a medium blue metallic and have had some paint mixed to as close as we could get it.
We had a package arrive from the states containing a very nice horn ring,, which will replace the badly pitted unit. Have considered getting these pieces restored locally, it is very expensive, am investigating what is involved, to strip off the plating and filling the holes. The methods vary and so does the result depending on who you talk to,
I would have loved to have had the car soda blasted, the car would have painted by now, but, US$2000 plus to strip the paint was just too much. Anyway we are very close to being ready to covering it with etch primer filler.
