390 motor mounts for a '64 Galaxie

Hi,

I was wondering what motor mounts folks recommend or use when installing a 390 in a '64Galaxie. I found some at the Crites web site and was wondering if those are ok, or if anyone knew of something (maybe poly) that would a better fit. The engine is not stock.

I have some from Crites in my 64. My motor is now a 417 FE. Tripower, Edelbrock Alm heads, roller motor, Tremec, pleanty of power. No issues. A friend of mine with the same set up had his motor moving too much. He simply chained the left side of his motor to the frame. $2 fix.

I dont have much movement at all from my mounts, however I do not launch on slicks. Are you running a full slick?

Back when, I mounted up a 427 straight oiler into an XL with six duece carbs with common rubber/steel mounts. As I remember there was a righthand and lefthand side.
