Re: number of post

a million things to do before winter, works getting busier(finally-a good thing) but salaried, so weekends just suck- especially working weekends free with home work to do...need to get off this computer, spend way too much time reading...
Imagine the post dropping due to the same everywhere, folks getting ready for winter- except for those in the south where its springtime with summer around he corner

hey I made a plastic seal to sandwich under the power steering rack hose fitting on our windstar last week(major PITA to change that hose- and Fords stupid internal o-ring fittings always seem to start leaking if disturbed by changing the rack out), anyway its actually holding...made it to seal against the inner tubing inside the fitting, with about .020 crush on the tube when the nut bottoms on it. hopefully it will let me limp thru one more winter with the oil in the antifreze, rotted out old windstar- if the hose blows I think its going to the scrapyard- I can see about a dozen rusty things that are going to break if I try to remove the hose...suprised they dont sell face seals at the parts stores- like a 80.00 hose and think its 6 hrs labor to replace it...stupid setup- planned obsolescence at its finest.

Wombats are a pain in the azz. They want to be petted all the time.

I'm usually up between 3:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. But this morning, I awakened at 2:20 a.m. and couldn't go back to sleep. So I just decided to get up.

un like me that gets up at 530 every day --er-morn--ah--night - whatever
Early morning is the BEST time of the day. That's when I do most of my music, and writing. I was up late last night too. Didn't go to sleep till around 10:30 p.m. Normal bedtime for me is between 8:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

It got cool here last night, and when that happens almost all of the cats come sleep on the bed where it's warm. And when I awaken and turn on the lights, they all begin purring. It is quite an event!

Am going to be removing the Master Cylinder from Lorrie Van Haul this morning. I'm then going to have to get a rebuild kit for it. Probably have to also buy a hone. The last time I did the brakes, I put in silicone brake fluid. You ever hear of THAT? It was done at the recommendation of the guy who owned the shop where I rebuilt Ms. American's Engine.

Lorrie has been dormant since 1995, and when I got in and pushed on the brake pedal, it was as if the spring in the master cylinder had collapsed, and the pedal just went to the floor. I'm thinking that maybe the silicone brake fluid deteriorated the Cups. We'll see when I get the Master Cylinder out this morning. A NEW Master Cylinder is less than $40.00 before taxes, but I'd like to rebuild the original unit.

Re: number of post

Maybe i could stick a few roos in the trunk with holes for the legs so i can get places and save gas.

I got up late this morning. 8am. Having my first cup of coffee then refilling and going out to sit in a convertible and watch the rain fall as i run it a while. Almost dark yesterday and i think oh, i needed to see if the car would start. Of course the shotrod is mad at me again for not driving it and wouldn't start this time even with the little extra boost from the charger. So on trickle charge all night. Needs to be driven on the freeway (only place to drive 55 here) but not with a steady rain! So she'll have to be happy to just sit there and pretend. Maybe it'll stop for a bit later.

Guess it's time to put the top up for winter darn it. But then again, the man is deployed and I have his truck so maybe i can put off tucking the top in on the sides til December so when that sun comes out for a day the top can go down!

*mental note to self* Really need to quit driving Bullseye and drive the Shotrod more so as not to ruffle her tailpipes.

And about those koala's, they taste like chicken?

JC, that silicone brake fluid is Dot 5 and it can't be mixed with the traditional stuff like Dot 3 or 4. Someone once told me that to run the Dot 5 stuff you had to have special seals that are made for it. The Harley that I use to have used the Dot 5 stuff, not sure if there was anything special about the seals in the system though. May want to stick with the Dot 3 or 4 unless the system was designed for the Dot 5. The Dot 5 actually has a lower boiling point then the 3 or 4, but it also doesn't attrack water/moisture like the 3 and 4 do. Just some food for thought for you.

KFK - kentucky fried koala

Today the sun is out! Guess it's an everyday thing so when i return from the jail house peanut toss I'll check the rearend grease (leaks like crazy), put the one doggie's sweatshirt on, then take the Shotrod for a chilly ride on the freeway somewhere. I was thinking that the battery sure died fast from the not long ago when i had to start it using the charger. But then remembered that I only puttered around the base some and back home again which i'm sure didn't come near a full charge. It's full charge now, holey cow, hit the key and darn thing bout spun out from under the hood!
