Just picked up on this post - hope I'm not too late.....you'll want to remove the valve covers and look for bent or damaged pushrods. Most likely the valves are stuck on the cylinders with no compression. Take the rocker assemblies off, remove the pushrods. Check them for straightness. Tap on each valve with a hammer. You know it when one sticks. It won't pop back up or it's stuck down already. You can spray those valves down with penetrating oil and keep working the stuck valves with the hammer. They may or may not come loose. Worked for me - $42 in pushrods later and my 390 purred like a kitten.....
