I think the only chapter for CA is the Nor-Cal Galaxies. So-Cal galaxies opted out of it before i was even a member. So been several years.

Oops edit time, saw that Larsoft already mentioned So-Cal. I miss the gang down there, great bunch of peeps there and I always enjoyed the meetings and such.

I've been a member a couple of times but not found it beneficial for the price. Therefore, I let my last membership expire with no plans to renew. By the way, has anyone ever seen the National Director/Mark Reynolds at a National event? This years event at Charlotte was the 50th anniversary yet I understand he did NOT attend. It appears it was up to the Carolina's chapter president (Greg Patterson) to "make it happen"; which Greg did in an outstanding manner.

I'm a member by proxy I guess you'd call it. I do the website of the club and they pay my dues. Otherwise I have never been a member. Could find what I needed to know here and other places. I've had my discussions with Mark over the past 8 or 9 years off list which is a part of the reason I was never a member. Never met him person though so can't really judge him solely on that issue....but can say I'm not a fan.

I think you can get discounts from Dearborn and some other places by being a member but forgot now what businesses honor the discounts. Those can come in handy for some when restoring your car and might make it worthwhile.

I was amember many years ago and let it expire, if I was to re join I would get my original low member # back, something I may do. I hold this forum in the utmost esteem,

Billbailey we value your input too! But your right this forum is the best for information without judgement on what you want to do with your car. It has a Great group of knowledge individuals with some great personalities and cats too! How do you like the way I threw in the cats Rich? I'm learning! LOL!!
