1970 Interior compatibility with other years

My 1970 Fastback does not have Galaxie seats. Hoping to find a couple Galaxie buckets and a rear to put back in and not break the bank. Could I make seats from certain other years work? Could I make almost any fit? Is there a good place to look other than craigslist?

As long as we're on compatibility, is there a place to go to look up parts compatibility with other years or do I need to post here any time I have question along those lines?

Thanks.

I just went thru this myself! lol If you look at the pics from the new fella here with the 69, you'll see one style of seats these came with. The ones I found for mine came out of a 1969 Torino, which has the movable head rests. They'll have different seat tracks to allow for the different floor pans, and you'll more than likely need to reinforce the floor pan to compensate for the bucket seats. The rear seats I believe are 69/70 only. You can use ones from2 door or 4 door, but only the upper is the same. The lower section is different, and there will be a large gap between the upper and lower. Come to think of it, I think 71 might also work as well, but not sure. Several people have modified buckets for their cars from different makes and they look good. Look in the tech exchange section of the forums list. Here's the style of buckets I have:
