62-63 Galaxie bucket seat foam replacment

I am looking for someone who has replaced the foam on 62 or 63 Galaxie bucket seats. A friend of mine took his to an upholsterer along with new foam from one of the Galaxie catalogs and the guy said that the foam isn't right for the new seat material. The material looks correct and the foam looks just like what the catalogs show in the pictures except the back looks like it is upside down in the pics. Anyone know what is going on here?

I'm going to take a wild guess here from reading upholstery sites and stuff and say that maybe it's the back of the vinyl that isn't the same as what would be used with the foam replacements. This is only a guess though. The back of the vinyl might be rough maybe and possibly cause it to erode the foam.

I don't know what the new covers or foam is like but could it also maybe be that the covers are missing the piece of cloth down the center where the wire goes through to hold down the center seam. And one more thought, maybe the groove that should be in the center of the foam for the same reason mentioned, to add more definition to the center seam is towards the bottom and should be at the top half or vice versa.

That's all I can think of and bet it has something to do with that center seam and groove or it's a good possibility.
