Wink 390 to 460 in a 67

I have seen the posts on how to modify the front engine mounts and moving the transmission mounts back 4". Does this mean that the original drive shaft has to be shortened also, or can it be used as is?

Are there other gotcha's? I plan on using a B&M shifter, cable kickdown and new accelerator cable to addresses those issues?
