Re: Pink '64 in Melbourne

Maybe it's my monitor cause it doesn't have that coral orangey looking pink to me. But needless to say, whatever color it is it's a variation of pink!

Re: Pink '64 in Melbourne

The only pink ford used in the 1960's was Bittersweet/Samoan Coral, they were the same color with two different names and the same paint code...

The 64 above is not the original color... Else-wise it was a special order color as it's not in the original 64 DuPont paint books...

Re: Pink '64 in Melbourne

They had those springtime special colors like Yellow and I think the baby blue was one??? and there is that other odd color like a frosty bluish color can't think of the name of it but someone at the Hillsboro show had one that was original paint. The name didn't look like the color you know like Pontiac's Ox Green that was actually a gold color. At least til the paint got burnt off and it was dark green underneath. Something mink i think it was. Blue mink? Maybe i titled the picture with the color. I'll have to go look in my pics.

Found it, Silver Mink. Looks kinda frosty greenish blue and the interior was kind of odd also, sliver but not silver. I thought i had a pic of interior also but don't. Not that i can find anyway.

The second picture actually looks more like the color the car is.

No, it is a US built car, St. Louis plant. It lived in Stuart (fittingly) Florida and later Virginia. The car has Buckets Console and Deluxe A/C. I bought it from the fellow who brought it to Canada.
