62 and 63 door panels

I know it wouldn't be correct and I know that on the 62 the top metal molding on the door panel is a separate piece and it is integrated into the 63 door panel. My question is... will the door panel from a 63 Galaxie fit on a 62 Galaxie. This is assuming they are the same body style. The key word here is "fit".

According to Dearborn Classics they will interchange if you change some of the trim around. I e-mailed them about door panels and that was their response. I ended up getting my door panels from SMS. It only took them 6 months to get them to me.

Are these for the black car or the fordor? How is the black car coming along?

Do you mind if I ask how much they cost from SMS? Are they the front and back? Are they for XL or non XL.

These are for my black 2 door car. Since they don't reproduce them for 62, I am trying to find out if the 63s will fit. The only difference I can see is that the part that goes over the top is separate on the 62 and it is actually part of the panel on the 63. It obviously will look different, but as long as it fits good I don't mind it looking like 63 door panels on a 62 car.

They were $695 for all four shipped. They were supposed to be the 500 style with the plaid like cloth, but they sent me the full vinyl ones. I don't know if anyone REALIZES just how fortunate we are to have the FordMuscle Galaxie Forum.

Hmmmm, link no workie. Other than wrong material were you happy with them? For that kind of money you would think they would get it right. I need to order door panels for my 61 Sunliner, sounds like I better do it soon if I want them buy August for Hot August Nights.

The colors and style are perfect. They look great.

I need them for my 62 xl but im gonna make my own. It doesnt look hard and i aint paying 600.00!
