Looking for 63/64 Console auto shift assembly

Anyone have a 63-64 Console auto shift assembly laying around they want to sell? Maybe one in bad shape? I really only need the spring but didn't figure anyone wanted to sell just a spring. The shop lost the spring so I may make them buy me a new assembly if I can find one at a reasonable price.

I could probably buy an aftermarket spring but am anal about having the correct spring with proper tension.

Is that the spring for the button? If so I may have one, I have a shifter that already has parts missing.

No, it's the spring on the underside of the plate assembly which is about 6" long.

Re: Looking for 63/64 Console auto shift assembly

I am almost sure I would not have that? I have three of those consoles and none of them have a spring below the plate? Even the one in the Starliner I drive does not have one there?

Sorry,

Scott...

here's a picture of the one I am speaking of. It serves as tension on the shift plate.

No spring on mine either.... I see the mounting tangs but no evidence of there ever having been a spring...

I could also use the clear plastic lense that lists P,N,D,etc... as mine is in poor shape.
