CAR COVER?

I just got the car back from spending 3 grand at a body shop and I think its a good time to invest in a decent car cover. Was wondering where you guys thought I should look for a good cover for a 70 merc cougar xr7? I am not sure how the sizes work and the diferent fabrics. Which are good for a california car, will always be outside, cant fit it in my garage, doesnt rain much but ocasionaly during the winter. Also its a convertable if that maters at all? Budget would be no more then 150$ what do you guys think for a good cover?

CAR COVER?

Good luck finding a quality cover for less than $150. I paid $189 for mine & I'm not all that happy with it & I keep it inside. You get what you pay for in a cover.

CAR COVER?

Wal-Mart carries some economy covers from Budge that are made of Tyvek or something like it and are soft and water resistant.

I bought one for the Cobra before I got the covered trailer and it worked great!!! I think it was around $30.00??

CAR COVER?

One thing I can tell you, DONT BUY A COVER FROM COVERSEARCH.COM!!!

Back to your question, get a good one. Get the best you can afford, you'll be happier especially if the car is stored outdoors. Expect to pay about $200. Just make sure it comes with a good warrenty, like five years at least. Even the BEST cover money can buy will eventually start to fall apart. At least out here, maybe it'll last longer out west.

CAR COVER?

Locally in California ,Costco ( about every two months ) has Wolf brand, it's the type-model that the local mustang shops carry. The shops want 100.plus and costco wants 49. It is a great buy!!!!!! The cover is a medium grade type,

CAR COVER?

I will most definitly check out costco for that cover! Also we can spend that 200$ for the good cover, qrtmler perhaps your could tell me what kind of covers yours was for 189$, or one that you would recomend for not much more? We got all the body work up to primer done and it just seems like theres a thousand and one ways for things to scratch my car (or maybe I'm just paranode?). BTW does it mater that this car will be siting in primer for a while becuase we cant afford to paint it yet? We used this epoxy primer and its good for a few years without paint, we will most likly paint it in about 6 months to a year, should that be considered in the type of cover im buying? Thanks for the posts guys!

Does anyone have a good site online to buy a quality cover for around 150-200$? Or I live in Long Beach california if there is a shop around here that you guys could recomend me? BTW that car cover that didnt fit was a size "M" and I am thinking I will need the next size up.

CAR COVER?

Be careful with covers - if you leave them on the car long enough, they imbed their pattern in the paint. I've seen it twice.

You're better off finding a garage!

CAR COVER?

Depending on the car, coupe, con'v or fastback, med. is tight and large is loose. I use a large on my con'v. and it is a little loose, however killer deal. Covers from 150 to 500 and about 5 different insides at Bev.hills motoring ass. in L.A. I have used them before and you get what you pay for.

CAR COVER?

The one like I had isn't available anymore. Guess they didn't charge enough. Got one from Dallas Mustang(most places have them) Same as the original owner used & it's nice... $125. My show car has factory paint so we're careful about what we cover it with. It's made for 641/2 to 73 coupes, fit nice. Mustangs Plus in LA has them for 139.95.
