I saw this on E bay and thought it must be a misprint or some six banger with 3 1 barrels but it actually is a 3 2 barrel 289! I knew they made such a manifold/carb setup in the late '60's but have never seen one.Nice looking car it's in too but a little too much money for me. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1863262025
I've got a buddy with a mustang with the same setup. Supposed to be a pretty rare piece. Most of the 3-2's I've seen were on FE's. Obviously it's not factory, but was available OTC like the 2-4 manifolds.

The dealer/factory installed tri-powers are rare for the small blocks, they are also very expensive, a couple grand for a complete restored bolt on setup.

That car is worth 11, 12 grand to me!

Yea, but could'nt he just buy them from here: http://www.holmanmoody.com/parts/hardpart.htm ? I wonder if they are as old as the car, or if he is just trying to pass of repros as the origional items.
Thanks for the Holman&Moody link. I didn't realize you could still buy a new 3x2 small block manifold. The Falcon guy probably recently got the manifold and valve covers from Holman and Moody and is trying to pass them off as being some rare old stuff.I noticed the carbs are regular old Ford 2bbls which came on millions of 2bbl Ford V8s.A decent running 4 barrel on a high rise would probably out run the 3x2's but doesn't have the same eye appeal when you open the hood.
