New addition to the stable

Well, me and my girlfriend purchased another vehicle yesterday. This is the oldest of the bunch, and probably initially the cheapest (that will change). We bought a 1960 falcon station wagon, including the tow to the house, the price was under $200. It doesnt run, but will turn over. The floors are very solid, with only 2 small spots, (one on each side) in the rear seat area that will require some attention. The body is in good shape with only a few dings and dents, the chrome is all real good, and the interior isnt too bad for a 42 yr old car that hasnt been drove since '94.

It currently has a straight 6, a ford-o-matic 2 speed trans, and some oddball rearend with a 3.56 gear (it has a removable rear cover that is oval shaped and not very big around). But,we have a 289 and c4 (from an unknown donor), and an 8" rear out of a 62 fairlane (should be a perfect fit) that will be transplanted into the wagon. Nothing wild, but a good running wagon.

It was just too good of a deal to pass on.

KV,
I still think you should make a panel delivery out of it. Unwanted opinion, sorry.

That would make a cool tow car for your dad's new race car.

Yes it would. But I doubt it would be very happy with his 28' enclosed trailer behind it.

Sure it would, just get some BIG brakes, and airbags to help with the extra load
